Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the accurate picking and dispatch of goods by picking against a handheld terminal and advising Manager of any differences.
  • Adhere strictly to all Health & Safety policies, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Ensure fire exits and escape routes are always clear and comply with fire safety protocols.
  • Follow all manual handling procedures to maintain safety standards.
  • Report any defects or damages to manual handling equipment (MHE) using the correct reporting process.
  • Comply with all relevant Food Safety and Food Hygiene legislation.
  • Work collaboratively with other departments and depots, maintaining a professional and courteous attitude at all times.
  • Be flexible and take on any additional duties as required to support the wider team.

 

What You’ll Need

  • No previous warehouse experience is necessary — full training will be provided.
  • A methodical and accurate approach to tasks, with the ability to work to targets.
  • Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
  • A team player with a positive attitude who aligns with our core company values.
  • Prior knowledge of Food Hygiene regulations and experience in a similar role is desirable, but not essential.

Job Type: Temporary to Permamament

 

PAYE

  • £13.96 – per hour 40 hours worked weekly
  • £17.60 – per hour Over Time after 40 hours worked weekly
  • £17.60 – 6th shift working

 

Minimum of 8 hours guaranteed per shift
Overtime payable after 40 hours worked

 

Shift start times available

  • 06:00 – 14:00
  • 14:00 – 22:00

 

Working Hours

  • 40 hours per week
  • 5 days out of 7
  • Working on a rolling rota, which includes weekends and public holidays
